JMPP China Residency Programme
The Prize for the five artists is an award of studio space for a month long residency and a supporting programme of travel, research and networking in the UK. For many of the artists, JMPP offers the opportunity to travel outside of China for the first time. Studio exhibitions are held at the end of the residency, during the programme for the Liverpool Biennial.
Further opportunities are researched for the first prize winners of JMPP China. Han Feng who was awarded the JMPP China Prize in 2010 received a month long residency and solo exhibition with Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art Manchester. Lang Shuilong prize winner in 2016 worked towards a solo show at Dyson Building, Royal College of Art, London.
